Default Shooting my 3.5” Pre 27 tonight

I’ve posted a few of the seller’s pics of this fine revolver but now have it in my hands. S/N is 151615 which I’ve heard puts the ship date between 55-58, a letter will confirm. Switched out the factory targets for a beautiful set of magnas (thanks Pete) and headed for the back yard.

Shot a box of 38s and another of 357. To be honest, I had so much fun pulling the trigger that I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to the groups. That’ll be the next session. I just know that there’s a reason folks covet this config, so perfect in many ways.

A quick cleaning and some pics .....

I can see why you didn't pay attention to the groups. That's one fine looking gun

You have a very nice revolver, I am very happy to know that you shoot with it and not that you have it stored in the bottom of a drawer. Thank you very much for showing it.

I prefer magnas on shorter barrelled revolvers.

Arrow Pre 27 3.5"

Stunningly beautiful, and off the chart coolness factor! Thanks for showing us that beauty, and giving her a chance to vent!

With almost 1900 posts you should know letters in the serial are an important part of the serial and shouldn't be omitted. S151615 is likely late 1955 or early 1956 unless shipped way later than serial would suggest.

The point of mentioning the s/n was that I'd asked about it in another thread where I did include the prefix. And in that thread members told of ship dates in the 55-58 date range. I've requested a letter ...... Thanks tho!

That a very beautiful pre 27. It looks almost new to me. Mine has been refinished at least once. The refinish does not keep from being a good shooter though
