I have (3) late 70's early 80's N Frames with TT, TH & came with TS. I also have a birth year (1958) model 28 that has been nickeled with TT & TH. I don't remember buying it used with TS, seem to remember it having goodyears.

None of the stocks are on the guns they came with, removed them and added ALtamont finger groove as I prefer them for shooting.

Anyway, I have (3) TS, 2 with silver escutcheon, one with football dimple and one with cutout and one without any escutcheons at all. None of this type would have been on a 1958 N frame, correct? Shouldn't it have black escutcheons with the football dimple?

Guns (and my guesses) are:
1985 629-1 no escutcheon? Non P&R.
1978 57. I assume this is the one that that had football cutout / dimple?
1982 25-5. 1/2 moon cutout?

Also have (2) 28-2 that had the non target grips and they have black escutcheons, one from 1972 and one from 1979.

1950s N frame Targets would have a loading relief and a diamond around the screw.
