I have a K-38 Masterpiece that shipped on June 1st 1949. I think I can see it in the photos !
Or at least I am sure that several of these gentleman handled it.

Oh man....the yoke is labeled crane in the blow up.
The guy test firing has no ear plugs or muffs that I can see. I doubt that he ever complained about his wife nagging him we got home from work! Even if she did, he never heard it.
