Default King’s Super Police Question

I know this is a long shot, so I’ve posted this on Gunsmithing and here because I thought I’d try for better coverage.

I’m wondering whether anyone has a revolver with the King “Super Police” mod that they could photograph and measure for me. This is the fixed sight mod seen on M&Ps mostly where the notch in the frame (comprising the rear sight) was slightly enlarged and reshaped then given a white or perhaps silver(?) outline and the front sight had a gold bead added. The little sights on my Baby Chiefs Special are just getting too hard to see and I really like it as a CCW.

TIA~Froggie

Another King Super-Police! (Post yours!)

I don't have a minute right now to measure, but I can see where my calipers are if the toddler ever naps and try to get it for you.

A baby chief with a king super police would be just tops in my book. I've always hoped such a thing exists.

Regarding the rear sight: it's a U machined into the newly re-shaped rear sight that is then filled with some kind of white inlay. It seems to have been a strip of some kind of material. I put an enamel in one of mine that was missing the white and it worked ok, but it certainly wasn't what was in there originally.

This is my M&P King Super Police. Not sure what measurements that you are wanting. Can you be a little more specific and I will try to measure.

Richard,
Every time you show that gun, it makes me weak in the knees and drool uncontrollably! As usual, I am now on the floor in a big puddle. It just oozes coolness and class, and the grips put it over the top. Who did the engraving, what year is the gun, and are the grips factory? Thanks.
Larry

Larry - the engraver was Orville Kuhl. Like King, he too operated out of San Francisco. As to the grips - I believe they are factory pearls. They did not ship with the revolver, but obviously the revolver had a bunch of post-factory modifications (all of which I like) and the grips were probably added when it was engraved.
