Are the stocks on a military M1917 numbered to the gun? If so, stamped or penciled? Thanks. Big Larry

S&W didn't start stamping the s/n until late 1929.

Thanks. I was not sure they numbered the stocks since they left out other things on the M1917's. Big Larry
