Default The "&" used on Chiefs Specials

Well, gang, here's what happens on the season's first snow day.

Can't say I was bored; I've been wanting to do this for a long time. Call me a geek or a nerd, if you must.

I can't suggest these are the only ampersands (&) used in the Smith & Wesson name of the left side of Chiefs barrels, but these are the ones I have. You may know of more, or if you, too, are shut in today, you may want to go look at some of yours.

All in fun, but also a trivial bit of Chiefs history (and it might also apply to other models). I'm sure Chiefs didn't have all the fun.

Perhaps I should review the "&" used on the address on the frame. I know it changed through the years, too.

It's a pdf file.

Enjoy!

It's funny that the name for the symbol for "and" has 9 letters in it.

Hi Bob,

Great fun mate. Always interesting to see another 'anorak' at work..

Such things keep us out of trouble, add to our shared interests and knowledge.

Well done mate.

Cheerio,

Roy

Snow day eh ? And we're still suffering with 90+ degrees , at least for the next 6-8 weeks . You could be doing worse things , like cleaning out the garage , fixing the garbage disposal ......

Am I the only one who thinks the ampersand on the first 4 photos looks like the handicapped symbol?

I think the word "abbreviation" should be shorter.

My place is "rustic" at the least. No garage, no garbage disposal.

At least I have snow to shovel today! About a foot.

Power of suggestion enables me to "see" it, especially in the first photo.

Tooooo funny Martya.

It's really funny that many of my Chiefs came from NW PA.
