Default Vintage Bullseye Battery

Didn't really set out to do this intentionally, it just kind of happened.

Started off with the K-22 won at a local auction house. The second purchase was the .45 HE Model of 1950, purchased from an individual on a gun forum in the Pacific NW - I was on there to try and resolve a problem with a vendor in that area. When I realized I had two-thirds of a battery, I did intentionally go looking for the K-38, with a two-fold purpose: 1) To complete my Vintage Battery; and, 2) To acquire a birth year gun. So here is my Vintage Bullseye Battery...

The 1950 Target is from 1952. The K-38 is from 1951 and the K-22 is from 1950. In light of the "theme" I equipped them all with wrap-around target stocks. The two K-frames are unmarked, but I believe them to be Siles. The 1950 is wearing Fitz walnut stocks.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

I really don't want a second mortgage. If you want to subsidize it, that's a different story. LOL.

Su-wheeeet!! I saw a similar set a couple of years ago fitted into one of the old side opener GI 50 cal ammo cans. Classy as those are though, a nice handmade box in the style of the old Pachmayr design might show them off better.

Are those Herrett’s grips on all three? Did you add those or did they come to you that way? Regardless, they look very good on the set and if they fit you and the guns as intended should be a pleasure to shoot with. Enjoy!

Correction... I reread your OP about where the stocks came from. Those vintage Sile grips sure looked nice back then, especially with a little age darkening. Most people think “plastic” when they hear Fitz, but the wooden ones were actually pretty nice. I have a set with basket weave instead of checkering... they work pretty nicely in my hand.
