Model 19-1 Nickel Find
Went up to Cartersville yesterday and it turned out to be a worthwhile trip. It's not a show piece but it is a pretty nice example. One of the last of the 4 screw 19's, from 1961 with three T's, proud front sight pins, and nickel to boot. The funky pictures don't do it justice. Sorry about that. The great case colors especially don't show well. Almost no wear on the hand pivot or ejector rod, and only slight printing on the recoil shield.
I also found a beautiful 12-2 nickel 4 inch (another post). Pasted on a 6.5 29-2 and 27-2 6" (both nickel), for now anyway. I'm not that big on nickel plated guns, though I have a few.
Enjoy.

That Model 19 (and similar-era S&Ws like it) is right down my alley. Very nice! Thanks for sharing the pics and congrats on your new Combat Magnum - the REAL Combat Magnum.
