.32-20 Pocket Rocket
OK, I just couldn't resist this one. Here are the before pics from the seller. Will do a triage when the gun arrives to see what to do about the finish. Already have an old Pachmayr T grip for it. Now this is a .32 gun to have in your pocket for fun

Finally got a chance to shoot the gun today. Had some issues with FTF's when shooting DA. Went home and took off the side plate to investigate. The rebound spring had been cut or broke and someone had put a little spacer in the guide. Installed a new rebound spring and a new mainspring I had on hand. I think I am getting better DA strikes now, will have to get to range to confirm.
Gun shot quite a bit high. Will have to see about raising the front sight after I get her operating correctly.

I have a Colt cut down exactly in the same fashion. Many 32-20s experienced bulged barrels due to early jacketed ammo shedding the jacket in the bore.

.32 s&w
looks like the barrel has been shortened. Possible sight re-brazed on as well.

Definitely on both. The shortest cataloged length was 4" and a factory front would be forged to the barrel and sitting on a base.

That is a Robert Johnson song incarnate if I have ever seen one.
Hope you keep posting up updates - there is some mojo in that piece.

Let’s hope the MOJO don’t fly off and hit somebody.

Given its condition, that ol' revolver has nowhere to go but up.

I paid about 15% less than the price tag. Finish is pretty well gone. Gun seems fairly accurate, just shooting way high. I only put about 25 rounds through it because of the FTFs in DA. Will give it a better shake down and shoot it over sandbags if the new springs solve the DA issues.

Here's my cut down Colt. Got it for $159 about 5 years ago.
PS: Never use somebody else's reloads. Learn to load your own.

I have a 5" Official Police in .32-20. Don't tell the rest of the S&W Forum, but I shoot it better than I do my .32-20 M&P. I believe the better sights are the big difference.

I'm guessing the amount of powder necessary to get a hollow point to expand on impact would be way too much for that old gun. I have one 1902 2nd revision, and it gets puff ball loads for paper only.

Also don't tell the S&W forum how you can load that OP Colt quite a bit hotter than a M&P S&W.
Just keep it a secret.

It looks like it was "rode hard and put up wet".
Hoping a little TLC will clean it up a bit.
