K-22 MASTERPIECE 22/40
Been a while - miss the group.
Shoot this one regularly. Super accurate.. Picked it up a few years back in Tulsa.

Nothing not to like about that one!
I have one, but I had to have the barrel replaced (by Hamilton Bowen) due to some moron cutting and ruining the original.
Mine also wears a K pre-war grip adapter.

One of my favorites.
And, you can shoot it.

My favorite .22 revolver of all time! At my age the combination of the larger Micrometer rear sight and the lighter non-ribbed barrel has perfect balance. A joy to shoot for me at least.

I should shoot mine more often.
I have a set of Ropers for this gun that work great for single action shooting.
The short action trigger aligns better than the long action OD.

The prewar K22 one gun that's eluded me for a long time. More than my fair share of decent Smiths, but do admire those! Congrats to those able to acquire nice specimens here!
Those Ropers are works of art! Need to get a grip on myself just viewing!
Humor, but 'art' remark serious!
Best!

Beautiful!
Somewhat on topic, but does anyone make a replica of the prewar grip adapter? I would love one for my K-22 Outdoorsman but both price and availability of the originals is problematic.

The only replica I'm aware of is the rubber piece. I have an N frame and K frame version and the rubber was hard as a rock on both and would not fit the frame properly. The replica fixed that problem.

Beautiful gun. The fit and finish of the pre war guns is just amazing.

Adding a little trivia to this thread on a 'Super Model'.
These were called 'Masterpiece' for a reason.
