Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! It is a .32-20 Military & Police revolver AKA the .32-20 Model 1905, 3rd Change, from the 1910 to 1920 decade. Most likely it was in the early part around 1910. It is built on the mid-sized K frame just like the .38 M&P. It seems to be in pretty nice shape to be 110 years old. Sorry for your loss but congratulations on a fine inheritance.

The serial puts the gun in 1911/12. This version of the M&P had its own serial range. Until 1913/14 the caliber marking was like yours, then it changed to .32 W.C.F. CTG and finally in 1922 to 32-20 CTG.
It had its following due to also being chambered in rifles, but rapidly lost popularity in the 1920s, and production at S&W stopped in 1930, although it was catalogued and remaining guns sold until 1941.
Yours looks in very good shape, including the checkered medallion stocks which in this condition are not often seen.

And then Winchester came out with their high velocity M1892 loads, and Pop goes the weasel. Real hard on revolvers. Some folks never read warning labels. Big Larry

Shoot it...enjoy it!
Very nice revolver. I hope you intend to take it out and shoot it- .32-20s (.32 WCF) are a lot of fun and very accurate. You can find plenty of .32-20 Cowboy Action ammo (lead RNFP) online. Your grandfather left you a nice family heirloom. Enjoy

Welcome aboard.
Congrats. Looks like a pretty nice condition S&W Hand Ejector.
I see a few re-blued over dings on the barrel near the cartridge roll mark. But so what, all part of its history and I doubt you'd ever sell it anyway.
I hope you plan to shoot and enjoy it!

I see a nearby serial number that shipped in August, 1912. For whatever that is worth.
