Default Beauty and the Beast

(not certain if i should post these here, but they do fall in the time frame.)
Of course beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. But the contrast 'just struck me'. (maybe the 1917 in military trim might more indicative of the 'beast')
A pre-27 representing one of the flag ships of the S&W line, and then ,a Pre-V .38 S&W Special, M&P. a production expedient.
Yet both share top tier precision.
i just had to share it.

They are ALL beautiful! Coveralls don't conceal inner beauty.

I'm gonna require more overall pics of that pre-Victory.

It looks very good from what the one pic shows!

I'll leave the 27 to those afflicted with that specific accumulation disorder.

Here's my only pre-Victory example s/n 985033.

Contrast. The top of line, deluxe 357 and the mass produced service grade 38. Everything about the 357 is refined, designed to be superior. Everything about the 38 is utilitarian, designed to expedite fast production.

The condition of the Victory makes it the Beauty and the size of the N-frame 27 makes it the Beast, at least for me.

No "beauty" or "beast" choices there. Its more like : Do you prefer blondes or brunettes.

Although the pre-Victory is interesting to me, as one afflicted with the pre-27 "accumulation disorder", I would love a few more pics of that .357 "beauty".

Thanks for sharing,

Default ... for the one smitten with the "pre-27 Accumulation Disorder"

photos are poor, not a photographer here.
...here she is, with original stocks and in her party dress.
best regards thp4570

If I ever grow tired of looking at posted pictures of Victory / DSC / Lend-lease revolvers ... my end is near.
