My cousin has a S&W swing out revolver in 22 cal. S/N M224564. How old is this revolver and what model is it? It has a blued finish.

Looks like you would have a Model 34, and probably date to about 1983.

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! H Richard is probably right but it could also be a Model 35, 43 or 51. Either have your cousin open the cylinder and read the model number in the yoke area or tell us more about the gun...like how long the barrel is, does it say "airweight" on the barrel, etc.

Eab has been a forum member since October 2016. He just doesn't post much.

I have been guilty of welcoming a "new" member and then realizing he/she had been a member for a while, but wasn't a frequent poster, like some of us.

Although we can't tell you which model it is without more description, I agree with H Richard that it's from the early 1983 period based on the serial #M224564.

Default My cousins S&W

My cousin's says this is a very small revolver and I was hoping it was a Lady Smith. I have never seen the gun and she does not have a computer.

This Model 34-1 .22/32 Kit gun is most likely what she has; it's a J frame and the most common of the models that it could be. In size it's 1/2 way between an M frame and a K frame:
