Default Victory Values

I have been offered a 5 inch .38 S&W British lend lease revolver. I have not received the pictures yet, but the asking price is $650. In great condition, is that not still high of a price, or have they gone up in price that much?

In great condition, all original, chambers not modified for Special, complete with swivel, all numbers matching including the stocks, and preferably no British post-war proofs, the 650 would still be high, but acceptable to the motivated collector because these are quite rare in that condition.

Start subtracting for any of the above not met.

That is at least $100 high in my book.

I finally saw pictures of it this evening and it isn't near as good of condition as my others. Some flaking of the finish behind the cylinder, nicks in the grips, noticeable ring line, etc. Just an honest used revolver, perhaps a $400 gun in these days. Thanks for the information.
