Default Wiley Clapp's Triple Lock

Wiley Clapp is a field editor for Shooting Illustrated, one of the NRA's monthly magazines. He writes a monthly column called Fightin' Iron. Wiley was a combat Marine officer in Viet Nam and after coming home, served as a sheriff's deputy.

In the January 2021 column, he writes about a 6 1/2" .44 Special TL that he bought from a fellow deputy. It was serial number 33!

Not sure if he still had it or not. There is a picture of a blue Triple Lock wearing post 1968 target grips accompanying the article.

Thanks for posting! I had no idea that column existed. But then again, I don't subscribe to that journal.
I'll look for the article. It will be interesting to see if Willey Clapp's article offers anything insightful given the pedigree of the subject matter.
