My wife says that the sexiest .357 is the 4" Model 66, followed closely by the 3" Model 65. This may be because her first handgun was a 4" M66 & that she carried it as a law enforcement officer. And the 3" M65? I gave her one a few years back.
And of course I agree with her. Now, don't think for a minute she rules the roost. I ALWAYS get in the last word. It's usually "Yes, dear." or "No, dear."

I really like the 686-5 Mountain Gun made in 1998 as a stocking dealer special. Pre-IL, Tapered half lug barrel, 7 shots, medium weight L-frame. To me about the perfect balance in a 357 revolver. (excellent pic borrowed from thomasinaz)

The Colt Lawman MKIII snub on the right.
As I have often related, it was my engagement gift from a girl who, like the gun, was short, sweet, round in all the right places and deadly. It fulfilled her intended purpose of bringing me home to her at end of watch. I never tire of looking at either of them.

(But not the newer, two-piece barrel, internal lock version...to me they look a little off kilter...although I’d take one in the Comp version)

Does being a Lady make it any more sexy?
Unfired since leaving the factory back in May 2017.

Thank you. My brother carried it in that holster during the first 10 years of his career in law enforcement.

Competing with Richard is a losing proposition however, though no longer mine, I think these can get invited to his party!
NIB and consecutively numbered pair of pre-27s.
This gave me the shakes just holding it! Four inch, Reg Mag, factory engraved by Rudolph Kornbrath.

Wow what breathtaking revolvers. My sexy .357 is my Mod. 627-0 5 1/2" full underlug, non fluted cylinder, fully checkered on top, Model of 1989. And someday I may get techy enough to learn how to post a picture on here.

I sold more .357s last year than I own today.
And the vast majority of them were in the 27 family.

I sold all of these last year with the exception of two.
For one reason or another my 1960 6.5" 27 is my favorite gun.
I just feel that its the epitome of .357s.
The 5" 27-2 for sentimental reasons.
I did change out the smooth presentation grips to Targets on the 5" for this group picture.
top to bottom,
1959 M-27 8 3/8"
1960 M-27 6.5"
1961 M-27 6
1975 M27-2 5"
1957 4" pre-27
1955 3.5" pre-27
1968 M27-2 6" nickel

Since several RM’s have already been posted, and since they are the only .357 Magnums I have now, here are my entries which you have probably already seen a time or two.......
My 4.5” consecutive Reg# RM matched pair with certificates.....
and holstered in a William Brown carved, lined, and laced buscadero rig.....
And my 4” KCPD RM with original finish, configuration, and matching stocks.....
and in a K.C. MO. P.D. marked holster with period correct hat and badges.....

This is the other one that I regret selling. My 2003 5" 1/2 lug 686-6+.
It had one of the smoothest triggers of all my .357s.

Now, this one's none too sexy. And this photo is, in a way, not entirely truthful.
But this was my very second gun of mine, purchased new in July, 1973, and this is what it looked like back then.
Nowadays, it's much more blue-worn and sports a 4" barrel and a set of worked-over semi-custom stocks.
What it still is, though, is much-beloved. I've never had another revolver (and there's been plenty) I could shoot near as well as this one. Good, fast hits are almost automatic, like magic.
In our training business, we have some assistants who are younger and haven't seen much round gun activity if at all. Recently, I brought the old 28 and a box each of .357 and .38 loads for them to try, especially the young lady who had never actually fired a sixgun before (despite her excellent proficiency with her modern nines).
I should say the youngsters fell in love with it too, and have asked for it to return for another range time engagement.
Can't say it any better than that.

The 66 is stainless and the FS and ramp are bead blasted/matte in contrast to the rest of the gun. My 27-2 3.5" (post #134) above is nickel.

I gave one of these to a close friend about 2 years ago. He said he's always wanted. His eyes lit up when he first saw it.
He's retired LE, a Vice Sgt. and he deservers every single good thing that comes his way. He's paid his dues has a lot more good karma coming his way.
He qualified with it last year. The other gun he qualifies with is his EDC, an Ed Brown 1911.
He out shot every one that was there qualifying with their plastic guns.
He said he loves being the old man and out shooting the rookies, with a revolver.

Not overly "sexy" unless you appreciate beauty in function. My "winter" carry, a 66-4.

Thank you, I read 66 but “saw” nickel in the polished finish.

This gave me the shakes just holding it! Four inch, Reg Mag, factory engraved by Rudolph Kornbrath.

Richard (RKmesa) has never pictured anything in his collection that I wouldn’t love to own, but the 4” Kornbrath engraved RM gets my vote for sexiest .357 Rick!

I have to agree. As a .357 Magnum collector, a RM collector and a lover of engraved Smiths, that Kornbrath engraved RM checks ALL of the boxes and it is one of the most beautiful .357 Magnums I have ever seen. The owner brought it to the Reno SWCA Symposium with a wonderful display and even though Rick's photos are outstanding, the gun is even nicer in person.
A close second for my vote for the sexiest .357 Magnum is Bill's Alvin White engraved Combat Magnum (the Kennedy gun). The gun is outstanding, but the carved ivory grips take it into the "over the top cool" stratosphere.
