Bet it could tell some stories; and a four inch too. The correct magnas may be as hard to find as the gun; there was a set of pre-war magnas (or maybe that would have had service stocks?) on eBay recently but the price was $650 or so. Good luck

Jeff, thanks. I have a pair of jigged bone I got on an early HD a while back. they will go on it for now. I won't pay more for grips than I did for the gun. LOL. Lee

Awesome find! That is going to be a lot of fun at the range, so much better then a box and docs safe Queen! I have two 6 1/2” Second Model Hand Ejector’s and they are a favorite to take shooting! I would even think of carrying that one once in awhile!

Doesn't get much better than that... a working gun with the callouses it earned. Good catch, Lee! It it is like a couple of mine, it probably was wearing jigged bone when it left the store.

It would have shipped with service grips, not magnas.

Lee,
What I’m seeing are not jigged bone grips at all but, beautiful, aged Sambar Stag grips!
And, they look perfect on your .44 HE, 3rd Model, btw.
Congratulations on a nice find.

All that thing needs is a tyler grip adapter.
Love the 4" blue.
