Default Pre model 18 date of manufacture

Hi all, I have a pre model 18, 4 inch.22 LR. serial number on butt is K161620. Adjustable sights pined front sights (double pins), marcas on right side.
I was hoping to find out it’s manufacture date. Thanks for any help. Snubshooter

It would have to have been from the very late 1940s, but yes, K prefix guns started production in late 1946. However, they did not reach six digits until 1950.

The K-22 Combat Masterpiece didn't start production until 1949.
