Birth month Baby
Dateline -- June 1952 --
Maurice Olley of General Motors began designing the Corvette,
the Korean War raged, the keel was laid for the U.S. Navy’s first
nuclear powered submarine – Nautilus – the fourth Navy ship
with that name, “I’ve Got a Secret” debuted on CBS TV,
I entered this world, and so did this 2” Baby Chiefs Special.
Like me, it's a wee bit the worse for wear, but we’re both still
doin’ okay for our age.
I reckon S&W shipped about 21,000 Baby Chiefs that year, and
I've seen a bunch of 'em, but this is only the second one I've
seen that shipped in June. I won it tonight. Seller's photo.

At your age, if like the gun, all you have is a few freckles, a small bruise or two and look nice and solid with no screws loose, you're doing just fine.
Enjoy it!

Congrats. It's always cool to find a birth year gun; even nicer to find a birth month gun like yours; and to find a birth day ??

That is a very nice catch, Bob. I wish I had aged that well.

I have a few birth year guns, and one a month before my birthday, but no birth month guns so far...maybe a WTB ad?
Nice find.

I'm not going to push my luck and ask for a letter just to be
disappointed that this little Baby didn't ship on my birthday.

... or patience.
At one point I had eight birth year Chiefs -- four shipped the
month before me -- that spanned the spectrum of 1952 serial
numbers, including ones within a few hundred numbers of this
one. When I asked Dr. Roy for this one's ship date I held no
aspirations that it would actually have shipped in June.
Patience and perseverance, Robert. It will come.

Congrats Bob!
According to pictured ad, S&W was celebrating your 1952 birth year too. Looking forward to your future 2052 "Howdy!" forum post about your century old Chiefs Special.

Congratulations Bob, another fine Baby!
Since you have so many, I have to show off my one and only Baby 😎.
Hoping for my Wife’s Birthday, but instead got August 29, 1952 (she was shipped in May). So you other Virgo’s from late August can be envious!
1952 was indeed a good year.

I have a 3 digit K22 birth month/year gun. I'm perfectly happy knowing that. Don't know if it shipped on the 19th like I did, but I only got 1 chance out of 31 so I'm not sending for a letter either... but what if?

Charlie, you're killin' me.
I know, I know.
Actually, it's not 31 (or 30) days. Only count Monday - Friday and the odds improve significantly.
I was a Friday baby.

Here is my Birth Day gun.
Year, month, and, day.
Same as me.
The whole meal deal.
And, yes, it shipped on a Sunday as did I.
