Neat gun. Time for a letter!
The stocks are clearly newer than the gun itself. You might pull them off and look for repair shop date on the frame and possibly stamped serial number on the stocks.

Think just the wrong grips, Do not see any dates on the frame. My dad probably acquired the gun in the late 60's.

Nice .357 Magnum with a 5-inch barrel. The target stocks make in more pleasant to shoot.

Very nice indeed!
I've always felt that the 5" barrel was the perfect size for an N-frame. It just looks and feels right.
