Certainly not. The S prefix indicates that it is an N frame. It appears to be a .357 Magnum, later the Model 27. If you look at the top strap, it should be checkered.

The serial number would put it in the period shortly before model numbers were used.

Utah seems to a Fruitful Zone for locating nice guns.

I was over at a friends last night and he was showing me some of his guns he just inherited from his dad.

Its really dirty. I couldn't take it being soo dirty.

I'm going to be helping them out with their pets while they are out of town.

He asked what they could do for me to pay me back and I told he could start by letting me clean some of his guns for him.

I also brought home a nice 6" 14-2 to clean too and then I'll take his really nice 4" 66 no dash and spiff that one up for him.

I'm embarrassed that I didn't know it was a pre-27. I guess I'm better at cleaning them than identifying them. LOL
