New 38/44 Outdoorsman
Just got this today
It is very clean and tight, grips match the gun, though it does have a star before the 43XXX serial number, and a 12.47 under the grips.
I paid right at $1,000 for it. What should something like this go for?

edit: Smart butt comments aside, I paid $1100 on this very forum a few years ago for similar and very happy

The 1930s model 38/44 Outdoorsman is
one the nicest Hand Ejector S&Ws ever made
in many collectors minds.
The use of the shrouded ejector housing
and the use of the strong N Frame to house the new high-velocity 38/44 loaded 38 special
"super police rounds" with a Target sighted
beautiful revolver makes your model
very sought after..
I recently aquired mine just before Christmas from a local (60 mi away) well stocked pawn shop. I haggled my way w a nice trade to make
the deal on mine.
From recent auctions your exc looking Smith has been often bringing almost 50-100%
more in many auctions..esp w any accessories to go with it.. You did well on your buy..
Very lucky that mine is all matching down to the silver medallion grips in great condition
and looks like not shot very much by recoil
shield wear. I have augmented mine w a set
of Curt Harlows excellent Roper type grips
to better handle my beauty.
Some Pics😁

Thank you folks.
A pre war Outdoorsman has been on my list for quite some time. I lucked into this one and am very happy, plus the price, as many have said seems to have been good.
