This Combat Magnum was shipped in June 1956. It was shipped with checked, target stocks, but I put on these stocks I recently purchased from forum member, bbtrout. I think the new stocks really dress up this revolver and they fit perfectly! Smooth stocks made for the K-frame without the relieved area on the left panel and made of Goncalo alves (as these are) or rosewood are pretty tough to find.

Curtis...Next to the 44/41 Magnum, the Combat Magnum is one of my favorites and actually came out at the same time as the 44 Magnum in January 1956.

I didn't think those looked like Rosewood in the sale ad, but I figured you or Chuck would set the record straight. I am glad that they went onto a gun that is in mint shape as well.

Doc, I would love for you to tell us, how you achieve these STUNNING pictures.
There is not a trace of dust, oil, lint, simply anything.
Do you have Snow White, and the seven dwarfs working on them ?
The pics are simply incredible.

Nice score, Bill.
I saw those grips as well and thought they weren't rosewood.

Stunning photography, Bill! Your subject, the Combat Magnum, has such great proportions to it.
Thanks Once Again,

Hey Bill;
Beautiful gun! Do you do anything special to your stocks or is just your photography skills?
They always look fantastic!

Mike...I guess it must be my photography as I really don't do anything to most of the stocks except wipe the dust/lint off every now and then.
I have treated stocks with Formby's scratch remover or almond oil if I think it will help their appearance, but the ones pictures are near perfect and didn't need any treatment.
