Tyler is in Oklahoma, right?
Consumer Protection | Oklahoma Attorney General
I know Tyler is a small company and an icon of the industry and all that, but a company talking about a 4-6 week window should not take your money and sit on it for nine months or longer. If they're that backlogged, they should increase production or close ordering, rather than taking your money and collecting interest on it.
Just throwing money at them hoping things improve will do nothing. This story gets repeated so often that there are only two ways of it ending at this point -- either starve the company of orders to death or a subtle talking-to by someone with a juris doctorate. They might not respond to a Gmail, but maybe they'll wise up and respond to a .gov email address...

Today is May 19 and I finally received my T-grip from Tyler, nine months after I ordered it. The postage was $4.80, which is $3.95 less than I was charged last August, but I guess I shouldn't complain - at least I got it. I've dealt with Tyler for about 20 years, and will NEVER again. I'll find another source, and note that currently someone on eBay is asking $116.01 for a Number 4 like mine. No bids yet, though.

Yes but damn it looks good. I’m waiting for a basic black K frame T Grip. If deal goes well I’ll order another for my 629 with service stocks.

If you want a black one then I would suggest you buy a BK adapter. They are cheap and fit as well as the T-grip. Here: Store | BK Grips
I have an ivory one on another Wolf & Klar:

Thank you for following up on this! I am still waiting so I have the OK consumer complaint form on my desk (ty drumminor2nd) and will send it shortly. My check was cashed before yours (7/26/21).

Should anyone still be interested in this saga I sent my complaint to and received a letter back from the Attorney General. They forwarded my complaint to Tyler Mfg and we now await a response.
And FWIW, if the AG receives multiple complaints regarding fraudulent or deceptive practices they can open a formal investigation. So if anyone feels like filling out the 2 page form linked above and slapping a stamp on it, please do.

I still have the receipt for 3 or 4 Tylers I ordered 15-20 years ago, grips came within a month. Obviously there is a demand and money to be made for a product like this. If the present person operating Tyler doesn't have the time to devote to the business why not sell the business and receive a royalty on each grip sold. Far more likely to make a lot more money without having to lift a finger. Nothing really high tech here and if brought up to date with current business practices with the net credit cards fast delivery it would be tough to fail for a respected product.

At best, this would be a part time business. Casting aluminum and then finishing it, while not beyond my Ken is definitely not going to be a big dollar per hour business. I doubt anyone with a real job would want to deal with it.
I know I sure as hell don’t want to do it.

I hear you but if this is the way he/she/they run a business then we are better off without them. I wish I can say that I am the only one who has been ripped off but there appear to be many others out there.

Plus we have a better product right here with the BK grip adapters so we are not losing anything imho.
I don't expect much to come of this but its the principle at this point and I just want it documented.

BK adapters are black polymer, I have several.
Tyler are aluminum and come in several colors, I have several.
S&W, Pachmyar and Mershon are polymer, ( or the early 20th century equivalent), I have several.
They are not all equal, I like BK but prefer the option of color that Tyler provides.

The Lord does work in mysterious ways.
Today's mail delivery had an envelope from Tyler MFG with a $40.00 money order in it (my $48.75 -$8.75 used to process my refund request). I am happy to say that I can finally be done with this and will notify the OK AG office.
Thanks to all for the suggestions interest and if you have ordered from them may you have better luck than I did.
And I can proudly say that my customer standing is now "Banned from ordering" so I have that going for me.
