More detailed information would be nice. The gun has a S&W barrel with a vent rib and sight added. The caliber has been scrubbed from the right side of the barrel and the gun has been re-blued. Who knows what other alterations were done to it??

Best guess? a 1950ish 5 screw K-frame that been altered with a vent rib and later target stocks.
Has the caliber been changed? I notice the caliber marking has been ground off.

It looks like a King conversion...or Micro. Is there a King or Micro stamp on the front sight? The hammer appears to have a widened spur and the trigger is a target. The gun appears to be pre-WWII. Maybe a .38 M&P Target from the 1930's? What is the serial number?

It looks a stamp of some kind between the barrel and frame where you would normally see proof stamps. Interesting.....

Guy is correct - this appears to be of prewar origin. The rear sight is the clincher, but the threaded hammer pivot stud, the barrel shaped extractor rod with the corresponding milled notch on the barrel and the one-line address together point to the same conclusion.

It could be a King conversion or something very much like it. But I don't know that I've ever seen a King with that style front sight. Also, of course, the stocks are much later (post-1967ish).

There are also marks/stamps inbetw each chamber on the cylinder,,so I'd take a guess that the gun went through European proof at some point. British is a good bet though there are other proof markings that should also be there.
Refinishing and gunsmithing work done after a simple Brit proof at some point could have wiped some of those other proof marks.

Plus if you look closely, enlarge the pics, you can see what look like chamber inserts on the back face of the cylinder.
At least that what I think they may be and would indicate a conversion of a 38cal revolver to a .22rf. In this case a target version on top of that.

All just a guess of course.

An interesting gun found in Denmark. I'll bet there is a story here...

I don't believe that's a King. Wannabe, yes. There were several gunsmiths making similar alterations. The question is, how do it choot?

Thread earlier showing real King conversion.

Probably just another 38/200 conversion. More data would help.

I really dont have much information on it. The place selling it is referring to it as a K-200 but I am sure they didn't look quite like that.

Handejector is probably right...a BSR conversion. The milled area on the right side of the barrel reminds me of a Cogswell & Harrington logo.
