Non-Registered Magnum - What papers/tools were shipped with them??
Hello all,
I am starting to put together the papers/tools that would have been shipped with a Non-Registered Magnum, specifically one shipped in late 1939.
If you folks have a list and better yet photos I would greatly appreciate if you could share them.

Tom:
Everything in the photos, except for the certificate and the box of ammo (although the ammo is period correct). I hope that this helps.

Thank you for the photos.
I currently have the "Helpful Hints" and the pink tone "Caution" pages as well as the correct screwdriver and plain tissue paper.
Now to find the brush, mop and other papers shown!!
I have a variety of S&W pages in my stash, but unfortunately only two that would be correct for the .357

That is an absolutely gorgeous gun, a work of art. Great job on the photos too.

Thank you. It is my most complete pre-war .357 Magnum package. Here's a photo with all of the package together...

Wonderful package. My only old Smith, or old gun at all for that matter, is a top break .38 from 1889. That gun actually got me to this forum, and interested in old S&Ws, in general. My budget won't allow me anymore guns at this time, but I'm hopeful to start back next year with something just pre-war or early post-war from S&W. In the meantime, I enjoy drooling over pictures like yours.

I use the above beautiful picture as one of my RM benchmarks. It also includes the “.357” Magnum brochure (all the way at the back) which is not shown in the picture in post #2. The only thing missing is the certificate mailing tube. Of course the frosting on the cake in the picture is the RM with the 7” barrel, 1 of only 68 with that barrel length according to Roy’s chart below that he published in SWCA Journal Volume 44, Number 2, Summer 2010…..

Here's what I have gathered up so far.....since I may be listing this one for sale I will let the next owner find the remaining items.
I also received my letter on this one that confirms the configuration.
