A little while ago I posted about my brother finding a lovely 1948 Transitional M&P Short Action at the Ventura Gun Show (Original 1948 Short Action Thread). Well, here it is. Oh, by the way, my brother wants to know if anyone has an M&P with an S serial number later than the one on this little guy.

And, as an added attraction, here is his 1947 Transitional M&P Long Action (one of his birth year revolvers). He bought this one from a dealer who's a retired LAPD Detective. He took it in on consignment from a long retired Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff. The Deputy worked plains clothes and carried it in the Clark holster. It makes a nice combo.

Very nice revolvers, I'm envious.

I've done some good at the Ventrua Guns show in the past. Live to far to make it there anymore.

Mike:
Don't forget the special gun that the factory kept: S1,000,000.
