Mesa, Arizona Show Find.
Attended the Crossroads of the West Show last weekend and picked up a pretty nice shooter grade Pre 27 with 6" barrel and nice magna grips numbered to the gun. Please excuse the oil smears, the previous owner was generous with oil. Third photo shows the gun ready for the range.

That's an early one with the sharp shoulder or high horn grips.
And numbered to boot. Nice find!

I've been several times to the Mesa show, but never had any luck.
It was a small show with nothing really outstanding.
Nice job finding that 27.

Leo:
That is a beauty. It was good to talk with you at the show and good to see you still picking up nice .357 Magnums.
Thanks for sharing,

Nice find!
Crossroads is here in Prescott Valley again this weekend. At their last show here there was very little in the way of S&W revolvers. Not planning on buying anything this weekend, but I'll have to go look around anyway...

My shooter grade pre-27 5 inch spoke to me just now and said "I'm really nervous - that you may be using me for a hammer or a prybar after seeing that shooter grade at the top of the page".
Please tell us that you will keep yours nicely polished and cleaned after a fine session at the range, especially wearing those handsome new diamond-grade boots!

“Shooter grade”, I’ll show you shooter grade. 😁
Beautiful M27. That would be the cornerstone for my small pile of Smiths. Checks all the boxes. It looks great with either set of stocks. 👍👍
