Default Model of 1950 .44 Military

Hey all. I just won an auction for what I think is a Model of 1950 .44 Military or Pre-Model 21. Looks to be in very good condition and original finish. It was listed as a Model 24. Please review pics from auction and confirm that I didn’t screw up with my assessment!

Thanks for the help!

I think you hit the nail on the head... a 1950 military and one of my favorite guns! Good show old man.

That’s a nice 5” gun you got there. I’m guessing the target hammer and target trigger are not original to that gun.

I’m thinking the target hammer and trigger are post factory. Won’t know if the stocks match until I take delivery. Excited to get this one!

Yep, .44 HE 4th Model aka The Model of 1950 Military.
Serial number puts it at 1954-55. Excellent find!
I have a 4" version and its one of my favorite shooters.
