Pre-27 Stocks
I have a Pre-27 with vintage after marker target stocks. I want to replace them. What type presentation and target stocks would be correct for a 1952 Pre-27? Were there both relieved and non relieved stocks in 1952?

Smooth and checkered target stocks with no relieved area were all that were available in 1952 (1952 is the first year for N-frame target stocks). Checkered stocks would have been made of American walnut or smooth stocks made of rosewood and Goncalo alves.

If you're very lucky, you might find a set of the earliest original Cokes, smooth, Birdseye Maple, no relief cut on left side, and palm swells.
