Default Interesting Early Highway Patrolman

Saw this on a table at the SWCA Symposium in Tulsa, and it just spoke to me. Production of the Highway Patrolman (Pre Model 28) began in April, 1954. According to Dr. Jinks, this one shipped in May, '54, with a serial in the S1053xx range. What Piqued my interest was the King hammer and jeweled (King?) trigger. The action is unreal and equal's that of my son's King Super Target 44 Military.

Nice find. Obviously once owned by a true pistolero. Still ready and able after all these years.

Randy, you might want to remove the side plate to see if King jeweled any of the internal components. I understand they did that sometimes. Great acquisition!

Can’t say I have ever seen a revolver with all the internals jeweled.
Interesting
