Default Ship date for Victory

I'm looking at a S&W victory model online with serial number V121698. 4 in bbl, .38 spl. Will someone knowledgable estimate a ship date for this revolver. Thanks in advance.

It likely shipped around early 1943, but some not far away shipped in late 1942. For example V120188 shipped in 10/42. So call it late 42-early 43.

G:

From the Victory Model Database I can estimate for you that your Victory likely shipped in the March-April, 1943 time frame.

Your revolver was already listed in the Database. I don't know the source of the info since we do not record any information on ownership or who provides the data. From what I see in the Database it appears likely that your Victory was not shipped to the military but rather was either a DSC authorized gun or a U.S. Maritime Commission example.

I hope that is helpful to you.

Regards,
Charlie
