Pre 27 birthday combo
Because I was born on Thanksgiving day, I found out that an actual birthday gun is regrettably impossible. So I did the next best thing. The top one is the correct month and day, but one year later. The bottom one is the correct year. Looks like the best I can do.

Now, that is an interesting approach to the birthday gun issue. Bet that took a while to put that pair together. Good show!

I was lucky that the one from 11-26-54 had a letter with it, otherwise trying to find a specific day would just be a wild shot in the dark.

I have two that are birth year guns, one was shipped within 3 months of birthday. That's as close as I've been able to get.
Those two are great beginnings, and good luck on your chase.

I know that it was a while ago, but Happy Birthday anyway!!! Those are great guns and I would love to know the story of the bottom one with the small roll mark on the left side. This is something that in the post war N-Frame .357s was usually reserved for special order guns.
Thanks for sharing,

I have managed to find two birth year guns (1952) a pre M18 and a pre M14. I missed a M27 here that was dated Oct 15 1952 IIRC. that would have been as close to 10/30/52 that I've seen. It's all in the quest

According to the letter, it was shipped on 11/26/54 to E.K. Tryon Company in Philadelphia Pa. 8 3/8, blue, checkered walnut grips. Thought it interesting they call them grips in the letter that came with the gun. Sorry, just noticed you asked about the bottom one, unfortunately all I know about that one was the ship date.
