A serial # very close to your Pre 35 shipped in Oct. 1956. Does yours have 3 or four side plate screws including the screw hidden by the right side grip?

A serial # close to your Pre 34 shipped in May 1955. It should have a 4 screw side plate.

Hope that helps,

Thank you Jim. I'll check the side plate and let you know. Was hoping to be lucky with a birth year gun. 51, but I love these little guns. I've had the pre 34 over 45 years

I guess it would be hard to find a gun made in 51 they didn't start making until 53. Don't know what I was thinking. L O L

The first Kit Guns and Targets after the war until 1953 were Post War Transitional Models. Basically a pre war .22 with the addition of the post war sliding bar hammer block safety and no other changes. You could find one of those from 1951.

Those are really nice. Is the one in the middle 22? I've tried to find a 32 HE target. Seems most of what I look for is scarce. But really fun when you find one. I got a pretty nice 1903 HE 5th change awhile back. Love shooting it.
