Default Help with year and description

I was just given a gun inventory sheet from a friend. I've spent the last couple of days putting in info. I have this 5 screw that I'm not 100% sure what it really is? 4" barrel 6 shot .38 Special. What would be it's proper description? Serial #1928xx Thank You in advance...

Its proper description would be a Model of 1905 Military & Police revolver------one of several million of S&W's most popular revolver---likely 19 pre-teens.

.38 M&P Model of 1905, 3rd change. Grips look correct. My gun, SN 2108xx was shipped May of 1913. Guessing yours probably sometime in 1912.

A SN a little higher than yours, I list 211238 as shipping in 4/1913. At that time, S&W would have cataloged it as a Model of 1905. A few years later, S&W dropped that designation and just called it the Military and Police (M&P) Model. That one is in enviable condition with correct grips.
