Default K22 better pictures

Good morning to All, I joined recently and had posted this the other day so I took her out to the shop to get some better lighted pictures. Hope you like, still haven't fired her since my friend gifted it to me 6 or 7 years back I think maybe more.

Very nice K22. I really think you need to get out and shoot it. Not many .22’s will be more enjoyable to shoot. 👍

Thanks and yes I do need to. I have a new Sig P938 that I bought some 5 or 6 years ago and have never shot it. I do have an old I, J, A & G Works I believe it says and it's a nice accurate 22 pistol as well with right handed target grips. Its an Iver Johnson 22 target. Really accurate little pistol, but I have not shot it in a lot of years. The Iver stays loaded in my welding glove inside my shop tool box in case I ever need it out there.

Sort of like buying a new Porsche and not driving it.
It wants to be used.....a lot!

That’s a great friend that gave you the gun. The grips alone are pretty valuable. Enjoy it!

Thanks, I wasn't going to take the gun, but I ended up taking it as you see. Had another friend offer me a free Iver Johnson 22 pistol and I didn't take it. My Dad ended up with it and then I got it from Dad so I should have just taken it when offered(lol). The Iver Johnson did used to belong to my deceased Brother though that is why my other friend offered to give it to me.

Apparently the non relieved grips like these are 1954 and prior if they have the black washers inside the grips.

I didn't know these grips were special until you and another had mentioned it and I just found a pair on Ebay for $349. I guess because most of them are relieved and don't see many non relieved factory target grips. There is another pair on Ebay to at a little over $100(relieved though) and still bidding for a day and half I think, same grips with black washers inside so pre 54's?

After getting a glimpse of your shop I realized I need to get organized, but that probably won't happen. Great looking Masterpiece!

Thanks, a few pictures of my 30x30 we built in 2016. Should have gone 40x40, but it's plenty for me.

Very nice OP. The K22 is the finest .22 handgun ever made IMO.

Looks like a pair of Novas.

At any rate, awesome K22! I was lucky enough to find one at an LGS on a day they were doing 20% off used guns. A tactic that may be necessary to move some run-of-the-mill plastic fantastics, but not a 1953 K22 in good shape. Nonetheless the deal applied, and she came home.

The gold one was my 72 Nova just like the red one except the red one is a reddish color. I did some paint and mechanical work on the red one as it sat for a few years and I had to paint/replace front left fender and rebuild the carburetor.

The K-22 is THE classic target shooter. My K-22 is 75 years old. It always outshoots my 617 and both my Single-Six and Single-Ten. Might be the best revover to come out of the S&W factory.

This K22 is the nicest gun I own; it was Dad's. Even I can shoot a hole inside a hole at 25 yards! It's made in 1950. These were made to be shot! Sorry about the lousy cell phone pics!

Nice K22 Masterpiece! Mine's a little earlier- 1948. Very accurate and fun shooter, but I have to be careful because it has a hair trigger in single action.
I thought all K22s were shipped with diamond magna stocks. Did K22s have a target stock option? I think the targets look great. Enjoy!

It was an option as was the early target hammer. I have a 1956 K22 lettered with the target stocks and target hammer. The stocks are the early non relieved type. Big Larry
