Default Early K-22 Front sight question

I was going back through the some of the forgotten corners of the safe and was hoping the experts can help out.
One of the first k-22s I bought some 20+ years ago is an early single address line '47 gun. This poor gal shows the years and has seen plenty of holster time and who knows how many rounds.
The front site appears to have been a brass call bead of some sort along with a low shallow rear blade.
My question is: Could this be how it left the factory? Did Smith ship anything other than ramp and Patridge front sights on these early post war guns? Serial k17xxx
Thanks

I seriously doubt that those are factory sights.

Looks like it was set up for a round bead front sight, missing the bead now.

Most likely, those started out as plain factory sights with a patridge front that someone reshaped and added a piece of brass to meet their own need. The rear blade appears to have had some crude modification done with a hand held file.

Yeah, and the rear sight blade looks like the square notch was somehow filled in, maybe by tig welding or peened in place, dressed down and the V notch in.
