I only bid (low) because I have a very similar set on a K22. Ended up getting the .38 Masterpiece for a deal, even after 21% + shipping, I think. I'll probably sell/trade it since I already have have a 4-screw and 5-screw. Hammer price was $325. I've seen chopped and plated Victories sell for that.

I 'think' they're Sanderson? Thoughts? My existing set has the jig marks on the back.

Those look an awful lot like a couple sets I've had for years that for some reason, I've always assumed were Herrett's. I'll dig 'em out tomorrow and get pics.

Didn't see photo of the back, but Lew Sanderson grips should have a fairly large number stamped into the back of both grips.

Sanderson's had a flat head grip screw and a different shape and checkering pattern. Those are Herrett's target stocks.

Never seen a set of Sanderson grips with a rounded base before. Doesn't mean he never made a set, but I've never seen one. These are definitely Herrett's. In my experience 80% of the time if there is a round bottom they will be Herrett's, the other 20% will be Fitz or Sile.

I'm a Sanderson novice but from what I've seen, anything but dark oiled-like finished walnut is skeptical for Sanderson's.
