Was in a pawn shop yesterday, and there was a 4" 5-screw M&P (I think that is the correct name). No model # stamped. Tapered barrel. Most, if not all the bluing gone. Looked like a fair bit of lead in the barrel, too. Little loose in the lock-up. The grips didn't look too bad. Lot of gunk in the screw holes. Couple of the sideplate screwheads buggered up.

He had 249.00 on it, but might be able to do better with cash.

Should I?

You didn't say but I assume it's a 38 special M&P and with out a serial number we can't guess a time frame. I Just sold a factory nickel M&P 1905 4th change made in 1918 with bright bore and rock solid lockup for $225 on consigment with me clearing $200 on the deal.

So to me I think it's too much

I think with a little more cash, you can find a higher condition gun.
That one doesn't sound too impressive or a "buy it now".

Pass, there are millions of M&Ps. You'll find a better one.

Thanks. Pretty much what I thought. I had my contacts in, so it was hard to read the S/N. .38 Special.

Thanks guys!
