Any recommendations for a light load to shoot in a Model 10? I am looking to introduce someone to shooting. I remember my grandfather making up some really light loads that almost seemed like 22s years and years ago for me. But I don't reload, so I'm looking for a factory load. I have a whole bunch of M41 130 grain stuff, but I'm wondering if there's something out there lighter.

Winchester sells a target load. The bullets are 148 Lead Wadcutters. I have a box that says
38 SPECIAL
SUPER MATCH
148 GR. LEAD-WAD CUTTER
and down in the corner it says "TARGET/MATCH"
I can't say they were like a .22 but they are mild. Remington probably makes something comparable. It may be hard to find any until the ammo buying frenzy abates.

You could look into some of the "cowboy" loadings for 38spl, or Black Hills makes some good cast target loads.

The target wadcutter loads are soft shooting. Start there and see how it goes.
