I know that there is a meeting in June, here in MI no less. I've been meaning to join for over a year now. My only excuse is that any multi-step process has become more daunting to me as time goes by.

Can someone sponsor me? If you would like a little background: the narrow focus of my collecting has been revolvers that have "S&W" on the barrel. I have been know to make rare exceptions to this rule if the barrel says "COLT".
