A friend of mine has a 4" nickel plated Pre Model 10 that is in about 98% condition. No box or accessories.

I have been thinking about buying it just to put in the safe as an investment and something I can turn for a profit in a few months if my job goes away.

Does this sound like a desireable piece? What could I expect this to sell for on The Internet?

I have the SCS&W and it did not help much. I've seen nice Pre-10's priced as high as $775, but that seems a bit out of line.

I can probably get this one for $325..

Any thoughts, opinions or advice?

Thanks!
