A 1953 3.5" .357 Magnum in blue or nickel is the one that's been eluding me for years...

Thankfully, you're a month younger than me.I don't need competition for a 1952 K22!

K22 for sure. Sweetest little wheel gun you'll ever own.

Sorry, this 3 1/2" Pre-27 was shipped 9/23/53, so it wouldn't meet your needs. It's not for sale anyway, but does show what would have been available in 53.

I have a K-22 Combat Masterpiece made in 1953. It's my favorite 22. With a 4" barel, it's easy to carry around, but just as accurate as my longer barreled 22's.

Zippo--

According to the SCSW, 3rd ed., the K serial numbers for 1953 run from K175638 to K210095.

My birthyear gun is a one-line address K-22, made in 1947. It's my favorite shooter (along with my 617).

Good luck!

zippo, Thank you for your compliments about my K-22 Masterpiece, but it will be my Daughter's when I'm done with it. However, I have put your email address in my address book and will contact you if I should ever locate another one in the same serial range you seek or I would find a 1951 K-22 in similar condition, I have a K-38 Masterpiece from that year my birth year. I have seen several 4 & 5 screw K-22's in this area over the past year. The best buys and places to look are in the small gunshops, not the internet auctions or gunshows. Good luck on your quest! Greg
