Well, since Michael (Kobold 27) won't come take pictures for me, I submit to you my feeble attempt at photography, on a pair of guns that deserves better photo skills!!
The 29 no dash is 1958 vintage:
While the 57 was shipped in June 1965 per Mr. Jinks:

Nice guns!
That poor Model 57 looks to have lived a deprived life. It obviously has not been out in the daylight as much as the Model 29. Hope you plan to take it out and shoot it.

Very nice 29. I too just got a very nice 29 8 3/8" from 1958-59 with cokes. What serial number do you have? I would love to have a 4", let me know if you ever decide to sell.

Hi Dick,
Seeing the other "57 with Cokes' post made me think of my old one, and how I forgot to respond to you....my 57 is #S252091, shipped June '65...and I don't think I'll sell it soon!

Hey Ken, nice pics and a couple of very nice 4"ers. Did Michael at least stop to visit on his road trip?

very nice pair of N frames-- your photography isn't bad either. You might find taking pictures outdoors in indirect sunlight will improve your phototaking skills--it did for me.

Sweet Brown Gravy man!!!!
They're perfect cousins and 4"ers!!! 4"ers just look so perfectly balanced it hurts IMHO.
Your pics are great but if you've seen my 57 post my judgment might not be one to listen to.
Thank you very much for sharing,
Scott

Feel free to call me collect when you want to rid yourself of the 44 magnum!!
I think I could find room for it in my safe and on my hip. It is begging to go to Elmer Keith Country and log some miles in the Idaho backcountry.

No, Michael did not have time to stop, however he is threatening a weekend visit soon. I imagine we will be shooting many N frames and a guide gun each!

Sounds like great fun. How's that 627-0 shoot for you? Did either of the cokes come from Michael. It seems like he mentioned the ones he got from me ended up going to you in a trade.

627 is in hibernation in my safe. I shoot a 3.5" 27, and can't bear to "break the cherry" on that NIB 627! And yes, I think one of those cokes came from you via Michael!!

Seriously now, what can work out in trade?

Michael- I'd make that trade.
Who needs a 4" 45LC Colt that doesn't shoot well?

Very true D, but I would just place that Anaconda in the safe and pull it out every so often to look at. Besides, for a shooter I have a 25-5 4" nickel that "you know who" almost beat me out of!!!

Hey Ken, I'm looking at Dewey's 29 in classifieds, trying to get a better idea of DOB.
Your ser # is so close, did you have this 29 lettered and did it letter to '58? Thanks for any info you can provide.

I did not have it lettered. I just looked up the serial # in the 3rd edition of SC of S&Ws and came up with 1958 (or was it 1959, can't remember now).
