Anyone here ever try to find period correct knives to compliment their guns and holsters? Seems like we see the guns, the paperwork, the boxes....etc. ~ But not the obvious companion to our guns, a knife that just seems to belong with them...

I still try to find a good knife to go with each good gun, and it is almost as enjoyable as finding the gun I find that a knife that is the same length as the tip of the muzzle to the rear of the gripframe almost always in balance to the gun.....

Anywhoo, just pondering again. Anyone else out there try to find a match to their guns?

yep, sure do...

here's model 1911 Colt with some period items, including a WWI Trench Watch..




Terrier with 1940's or 1950's knife, silver certificate & NYC subway token..



and a model 1911A1 Ithaca that saw action in the Pacific alongside a Philippine theatre made knife...

Only got a couple of revolvers, a couple of knives and a couple of watches.
