Please help, a friend showed me a S&W brought from another part of the world that I have never seen before..Best description: .22 revolver, 8 shot, six sided 3 1/16" barrel, birds head grips?, top break with SIDE LEVER that points up and down, with a larger thumb latch to open, looks to be for 22 short, not a model 1..Do not have a photo right now. ElDee, That gun is not a Smith & Wesson, but one of many fraudulent copies made in mostly Europe, circa 1890-1920s. Some even say "Smith & Wesson" on them, or close variations intended to fool unsuspecting buyers. The top break lever/latch system is a copy of systems used in many European revolvers by various makers. Ed.
