Default Are these the correct target stocks? update

Or should they be Diamond Targets?
1960 6" M27 S210547

Or could they have been Magna Stocks?

I agree with Alan above. Since it does not have target hammer and/or trigger options, it most likely came with diamond Magnas.

Although Diamond Targets were a proper option as well as Coke Targets.

Diamond Magna stocks are correct for your Model 27. If you want "period correct" target stocks they would be diamond targets made of American walnut with the relieved area on the left stock panel.

Thanks Bill.

I would have to guess that these diamond Targets may not be the original stocks too but PC on my 1959 M-27. This one has a 6 1/2" barrel and it doesn't have a target hammer or trigger either.

But for one reason or another I think they may just be the original ones.

It does sport a nice trigger shoe though.

I'll see what my friend has as far as stocks go. I like Target over Magna but will probably go for the Magnas on the 6".

Thanks again for your all help.

Kenny...Original or not, I have always considered "period correct" target stocks to be an upgrade from Magna style stocks.

Totally agree Bill.

I know it most likely came with Magna stocks but I do prefer targets.

So, I picked up a pair of "era correct" Target Stocks.

(not that great f a picture of the stocks)

Be still my beating heart! I could totally overlook the magnificent revolver and just stare at those magnificent sticks, Kenny! Sometimes the wood shop just hit a grand slam home run.

Thanks Froggie.

I just LOVE the "vintage" blue revolvers.

For me they are the epitome of a beautiful handgun.
