I was in Gander Mountain in Reynoldsburg ohio.They have 1st model k22 outdoorsman all original,had humpback hammer installed in 1938.Serial no. 633xxx.Factory letter

I was in Gander Mountain in Reynoldsburg ohio.They have 1st model k22 outdoorsman all original,had humpback hammer installed in 1938.Serial no. 633xxx.Factory letter

You didn't say anything about condition. But if its say, a 90-95% gun, they've overpriced it by quite a bit, like $800 or so. IMO.

Prices climb as we sleep. Also as we type these posts. At the OGCA show last weekend I found Lee's booth. Of course he wasn't anywhere near it, but under his protective glass was a mid range production Outdoorsman (he had it listed as early production) ..... And I believe he had it priced at $2395. Yes, it had a fairly nice box with it.

These days red picture boxes bring well over $200. But if you add one to a gun, the package escalates in price by a significant margin.

I'm afraid the days of $25 red boxes and $20 gold are over forever. So are the days of prewar K22s selling for $500, or even $1000 if still in nice condition. The market is changing and the rules you thought you knew just don't apply anymore.
