Hey guys I picked up an old 1917 awhile back all of the bluing is worn off the old military markings have been filed off. It has a four digit SN and a knurled hammer. According to my blue book it says it should be worth around $750 being low book. It is a good shooter and mechanically sound, What is your opinion

Thanks in advance
Batta

I will post pics on monday or so

I would value a gun like that around $300, just as a shooter, as it has no collector value.

I have to go along with m-1911 on this. Much of the value of those guns is due to their past and if some of markings have been filed off that significantly affects value.
