Here's two recent additions to my M&P collection that I thought I'd photo. Not the best, but I'm working on my technique. I love the 5" M&P, which I consider the best barrel length for balance, shooting and carrying in a duty holster. If I were walking a footbeat on Hollwood Blvd "back in the day", this is what would be in my swivel holster. I've shot both guns with 148 gr WC and 158 gr lead service loads. I don't think I'd be any better armed with a Glock.

Bob

Those are two very nice guns. Its interesting to study the underside of the
barrel, just above the end of the extractor rod. There are two different cuts,
a deeper/narrower one for the earlier gun with the larger nob, and a wider
shallower one for the later gun,

Later, Mike Priwer

NICE, I too like the 5"ers,
I just picked up this 10-2 last week.
I know not a true M&P, But dang close.

I just noticed that, Mike. I'm studying both guns now...the top revolver is vintage 1936, the bottom, 1927. Thanks for pointing that out- I'm learning! Peter- that's OK- I love that revolver of yours!

Very clean old M&Ps! I'd like to find a 5-inch model myself. Are those Pachmayr grip adaptors?

Regards,

Jerry

I don't have a 5" gun.

I'll have to work on that.

Very nice, Bob. Word of caution, M&Ps are tricky. Before you know it, they're a full blown addiction and you never saw it coming.

Great pics, Thanks for the look.

Hi Jerry
Yes, those are Pachmayrs...check your e-mail, I have some more for you. They fit that other brand.

Very nice, I've but one 5" M&P that I aquired from a local pawn shop for a very reasonable price. Of course, the condition of my gun is reflected in the price I paid.
Yours are beautiful.
